In the Christian Foundation is the power to move forward in God. Hebrews
6:1 calls us to go on in God's purpose for our lives. But how will
we do it? The context is very revealing. We will arrive at the
fulfillment of God's goal for our lives as we cultivate a life of living
in "the first works." By-pass these basics, and our progress in God will come to an abrupt hault.
The Christian Foundation is our introduction to the Person of Christ.
Hebrews 6:1 calls them "The Word of the beginning of Christ." The
Christian foundation is not a bunch of principles and doctrines we live by.
They are the basics of personally relating to Jesus. They are our
introduction to walking with Him. Its as if someone says to us;
"Here, let me introduce you to Jesus.
If you are going to know Him,
you will have to know Him in repentance, faith, etc."
In the Christian Foundation is the secret to weathering the storm.
Mat. 7:24-27 Everything around us is being shaken. Yet, in the midst of it all, God has given
us a kingdom that cannot be shaken. As we base our lives on these "unshakeable things"
we can stand when everything around us is falling.
"The storms shall come, and the winds shall blow, but my foundation shall remain sure!"
